From the age of six, author Elaine Kanelos knew one thing: she wanted to deliver the mail on Lake Geneva's US mail boat.
And she did -- becoming the first female ever to hold the position. As the Mail Girl, Elaine was required to jump off of and then back onto the moving Mail Boat while delivering mail, newspapers and packages to over sixty piers on the lake.
Elaine Kanelos was featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal and newspapers worldwide as the first girl ever to "jump the mail" on Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
An accomplished free lance writer, novelist, and marketing executive, Elaine splits her time between Vail, Colorado and Santa Monica, California. She is an avid skier, hiker, biker and runner.
